For a long time this 580 when starting would puff a bit of white smoke for 5 to 10 seconds then smooth out and run fine till finally it wouldn't start anymore. No smoke of any kind from exhaust. cracked a few lines to injector's and would start but run rough. So took line of top of fuel filter to injector pump and primed with mechanical lever on side of lift pump to find no fuel. Did an autopsy on lift pump to find on of the valves fallen out. Installed new lift pump and now this machine never ran better with quicker smoother starts.
