My case 580b has power steering leak that I can't find. Can the pump seal leak power steering fluid into engine oil pan?Can the pump seal be replaced or do I have to get a new pump it this is the problem? Can I use shell rotella 15/40 engine oil in power steering?
I dont think you should use oil in the steering pump, mine is leaking as well, but its the cylinders that are leaking. You can buy the repair kits on ebay as long as you know what cylinder you have. Check all of the connections also, I found loose steering hydraulic hoses that were leaking on the old girl too. Hope this helps a bit Mike
