Looking for input on fluid types. Have a 1986 Case 580E and are servicing machine and changing all fluids. What fluid types go in rear diff, shuttle and for hydraulics? Hoping for something available at NAPA etc...
You can use 68 for hydraulic oil. 10w in the shuttle The transaxle can be two different types depending on the brakes. At transaxle serial number 16276842 the brakes are wet running in oil. Dry brake models 85w/140 Wet brake oil is a CNH special blend 80w/140 with brake anti chatter additive (Transaxle Fluid part #365602A1) - there is no exact equivalent on the market.... that I know of ....
This is what you need. Try a Kubota dealership or a Case dealer Sometimes the parts Dept uses the part Number of MAT 3515 Just read the print on the 5 gal bucket you should see 3515-B and or 73344324. I don't know why they make it so hard to find this product. Good Parts guys are becoming scarce. CASE IH - Premium Transaxle Oil - SAE 80W-140 - MAT 3515-B - 5 Gal./18.92 L - 73344324 Part # 73344324
The earlier models used 85/140 gear oil the later models used 85/140 with a limited slip modifier for the wet brakes. The shuttle and hydraulic system should be AW46 type hydraulic oil.
