sometimes the 4X4 stays on after I push to off position the 4X4 switch on the instrument cluster. . I replaced the switch on the instrument cluster but I still have the same problem. Can an expert tell me what to do next? Thank-you, Jules
Hi Jules, welcome to the forum. Do you mean that the light stays on ? Or maybe the light goes out and you feel it disengage after a short period? My 580 sr can sometimes take 30 seconds to disengage. Maybe that's normal cos everything in the universe has to align properly before it will "let go".?
Hi, sorry it took few days to get back to you. Actually, the light does not stay on but the front Wheel stay engaged and wont disengage for the rest of the day. My 580m only has 3000 hrs it is a 2006 series2. Thank-you, Jules
first check if the oil pressure stay at the diff lock, if so check for bad coil solenoid located near the trans oil filter.

should be a hose going to the difff...put a T fitting and read the pressure ON and OFF while engine running.
