I have a Case Forklift that I am working on. Serial number sticker on the tractor part that says 580B CK. Serial #8774186. There is another serial number sticker on the forklift part that says 584. Serial #5311241. The Main Lift Mast is leaking hydraulic oil. Lift up and oil starts slobbering down the cylinder. Dealer says seals rebuild kit not available. What are options for fixing? my old thread about the same machine: HeavyEquipmentForums
Send a pic of the upright, full face to machine, so we can see what cylinder you have. If it is a one stage, single barrel, just pull it out, take it apart, and carefully try to retain as much of the seals on the ram as possible (V/sergeants stripes packing or poly pack U cups.) Any good hydraulic supply can match if appearance can ID type and you can measure the ID of the barrel tube and the dimensions of the ram where the packing fits. Top seal/wiper can be done with an off the shelf seal, turned upside down to wipe ram on lowering. With proper/good packing, will not have pressure at top. If it appears to be a "metal clad seal" type, look for number on it before prying it out.
Any luck with getting packing or removing/repacking it. Just curious as to the actual type cylinder it was. Thanks.
