I think ive answered my own question but this piece is out on a job pretty far out and id rather be sure than "pretty sure" Serial# DAC162039 Unit broke the throttle cable to the engine, operator tied the throttle wide open to keep unit operating. Ran fine for about 6 hours and then would run fine for a few and the bog out and stall. Replaced fuel filters and checked over unit, everything seems fine except for the obvious broken throttle cable. We turned the throttle position dial to wide open to make the computer think it was wide open. But maybe it sees our trickery... Is the computer not recognizing the position and the swashing the hydraulic pump correctly and basically full swashing which is killing the motor? Thats what it sounds like to me. So i ordered a new cable and will replace it thinking thats what the issue has to be...thoughts?
Yeah, your not going to fool an ECU/TCU like that, believe me I have tried in pinches. All of the systems are electrically integrated.
Thought so, thank you sir. Just seemed weird that it took 6 hours for the computer to realize that there wasnt something right. Figured itd be immediate.
So just an update on this dude. Turns out you can fool the system on this unit. Maybe at least for a while. My stall issue was fuel related. line from tank disconnected and id get a trickle. Back blew the line...no change. Its a pretty small fitting at the tank so to test my theory i installed a in line pump. Runs like a champ. Removed tank. Tank had been previously lined. Lining failed, coming off in big flakes. Sent the tank out to be stripped and have a bigger fitting installed in the bottom to better help with flow.
Flakes in the tank would do it .
