If it's anything like a Cat thumb roller switch it operates on a different voltage (8v vs 5v) to the switches that are commercially available from Otto & others. I'm sure Otto manufactures the switches for Cat but are probably tied into some sort of intellectual property agreement that prevents them selling the same thing commercially. You can't use any old Hall effect switch, you have to use one that is designed to operate using the same input voltage as the OEM switch.
