Hi all . so happy to find this forum . CAT 232 B I've owed this machine for 10 years and has ALWAYS been slow to start when cold . It would immediately start firing one cylinder then after 10 seconds or so another would cut in then the other two soon after . Then for rest of day would start immediately. Now its firing on the one and not picking up others . The fuel separator was seized on and not serviced recently ,since machine got less than 50 hours /year . Now has new one . Glow plugs new and verified working . Injectors are clean and good condition . Replaced transfer pump since flow seemed very weak but new one same . CAT dealer says its only 3 p.s.i. Placed container of fresh fuel on roof of machine and connected direct to transfer /lift pump to eliminate chance of leaks . Still same ...fires on one . even tried electric fuel pump (7 P.S.I. ) line ..still same Logic seems to indicate replace injector pump but this unit is part of block not easy to remove for exchange or overhaul. Also I ran this machine for several hours with no issues ...parked it overnight now this . Thanks for any suggestions
