I've got a cat 236b skid steer the hydraulic fluid keeps getting hot or at least it says it's getting hot with the warning light my fan works new fluid and filter I think maybe bad sensor how can I check it?
First please post a Serial Number. Second get yourself an infrared heat gun and start checking temperatures around the hydraulic oil cooler so that you can check that the alarms on the warning panel agree with the temps you are measuring.
