I have a cat 246c the arms are raising up without me touching the controls. The only way to get them down was pulling the pressure release valve behind the seat. Any ideas what could be wrong. no codes or flashing lights.

JAY is only prefix for 246C. Clarify...does boom rise the moment you start the machine, or, does the boom rise only after the pilot controls are enabled?
