Hi, have a an older Cat 301.8c digger with an error code 110.3 it also flashes the wrench and temp on the screen. Does anyone know what causes this? Or known issues and fixes. Thanks in advance. Products number Cat3018ckjsb00366
Temperature Sender (Open Circuit). I'm assuming that means coolant temperature sender. Here's all of them... In theory if you disconnect the orange wire from the sensor and ground it, that should give you a 110.4 code. If so the sensor is bad. If not the wire is bad.
The wrench indicates that the machine is due for PM servicing. If you service the excavator and fail to reset the "wrench counter" you will get nuisance alarms indicating servicing is due when the machine does not require it.
