Hi All How long should it take to check the main and line relief pressures for each function on a Cat 336 excavator? Just wondering thoughts on this. Thanks Al
This will take exactly as much time as the mechanic who will do these checks is experienced and how well he prepares for this procedure. If a person has previously done these checks, then he will not need to be distracted by reading and studying the service manual.
Local Cat dealer is claiming 21 hours.
If you just adjust the main relief valve, this procedure is not long. If you check and adjust all the Relief Valves (Line), then you will have to tinker. 21 hours is one day for two mechanics, and this is normal.
