Anyone here run a Cat 375 ME set up? I'm looking into it and wondering what size bucket is the ideal size for nice gravel with no rocks bigger than a watermelon. We would be loading 773s with it.
My answer may not be politically correct, but it works for me, and has for many years, but you have to have a real good operator on the sticks. I have a non-ME 375L, 10'6" stick, and swing a 9.5 yard bucket. It makes a nice 3 pass load for 40 ton trucks. I would maybe drop to 8 or 8.5 cy and it would do a good 4 pass with a 773.
