Cat 426 Backhoe Hydraulic Problems

Well I am back again with more problems with my Cat 426 Backhoe. 1987 Cat 426 Sn 7BC00580. Finally got around to trying to dig trench only to discover the entire backhoe boom assembly is haywire. It has no power to dig. Boom will lift up and extend slowly but does not have enough power to dig. It will swing one direction ok but swings very slowly the other way. The boom leaks down rapidly and every time i bring it upright it almost kills the engine. Outriggers also leak down but slowly. So was wondering if anyone had similar experience and what is the possible solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did all of those problems start at the same time ?

I bought the machine like this. I guess it was pretty much worn out when i got it and was not diligent enough when i bought. Actually knew nothing about these big machines and seller took advantage of that. Was a crook. Anyway, i have been using the front bucket until now. It works but not that good. The front Bucket wont pick up much and leaks down as well. Sometimes i have to jiggle the loader handle to get it to raise or dump. The leak down issue is systemwide so have no idea where to start on fixing it. The backhoe bucket just barely scrapes the ground and very weakly doe that.

You could reseal the front loader cylinders. If that stops the leak down there, it may indicate that more of them need resealing as well.

The control valve resolvers cause this kind of stuff also, providing your machine has them.
