Well, here i am again. My Cat 426 is acting up again. Sn7BC00580. Recall i just finished repairing the front bucket TILT cylinder with great success. Was able to get several hours work out of it running smoothly and then it started shaking like crazy when lifting the front bucket. Backhoe part works OK. I can work the bucket when empty with no problem. When empty goes up as it should. HOWEVER, when trying to pick up a load it shakes, jerks and shimmies so bad the whole tractor shakes. It was not doing this before, it just started today after 2 hours of work. I checked the fluid and it seems to be at the normal level. Tomorrow i plan to change the filter and maybe that will fix it? Maybe somebody out there has had this problem and knows what the fix is, please share it with me. What i have done so far: checked the fluid, ran the bucket up and down empty several times. No change.
First check your filter for swarf if its clean Then Go to the Cat store and buy a quart of hyd. oil slipum 1U-9891 and dump it in your hyd. tank. Bob
OK. I got on internet and looked at my local cat dealer website and they do not have that oil. The closest to me that has it is in Florida and will take 7 days to get here. (Usually takes more than that) Anyway, i do not have the time to wait so is there another brand i can use? Hopefully i can find one that will work locally.
Call Cat dealer if they don't have it they can get it post haste. Bob
