CAT 910E loader slow to go onto reverse gear work find in forward gears. Placing gear selection shifter in reverse the machine does not go into reverse, if pause in neutral then place into reverse it goes into reverse. Problem just started. less then 7,000 hours on machine. Could this be a solenoid problem?? If not what other causes do you think it could be? Thank you for your reply.

Hi serial number please ,I think this post might be better in the wheel loader section if you ask the moderators nicely they might move it for you. The first thing I would do, apart from the basics of checking oil levels etc would be to swap the reverse solenoid valve assembly with one of the other solenoid valve stations and see if the problem moves with the valve here is the valve location To change, remove the solenoid from the valve, then either use a deep socket or spanner and remove the pilot valve and swap with another station.it doesn't matter which one as they are all the same part number I think the hex size of the valve is about 1-1/4 inch (memory could be out a bit with the spanner size mark
