cat 941 transfering trans oit to bevel gear case.

My 941 is transferring transmission oil to bevel gear case. I think it needs a pinion seal. Does any one know if the steering pump leaking would cause this.

    Thanks Bob! I will check the pump. Would I need to pull the engine to check that pump. Do you know any other way that the oil could transfer into the bevel gear case. All breathers on the transmission are clear.

    Pump should come out okay, a bad shaft seal could allow it to suck in trans oil. Later Bob
