Our Cat 943 had a burst pipe to front loader ram, so we had to remove diesel and hydraulic tank to get to it. However mended pipe refit tanks and panels started up hydraulics work fine but it will not move forwards or backwards, it does nothing until nearly full movements backwards or forwards then you hear the hydraulic system change tone like its about to move, but still nothing. We only tried it briefly but HELP !! What should we try / check next?? Thanks in advance.
Sounds like Something's has air in it somewhere, keep at it......does the 943 use the implement pump to run the trans like a 953? Pj
did you have the cab up? did you jack it up or lift it up with something? if you did have cab up I'd check center brake pedal linkage. hydraulic system and transmission use there own oil and pumps so taking the tank out should not effect the transmission
POWERJOKE not sure if implement pump feeds trans pump, I would guess they are separate as different oil?? PACATTECH we did undo the stuff do tilt up the cab, i'm going to have another look to see if everything put back. Cheers.
Thanks for the help, but found the problem. Yep this dumb ass altered the valve under the engine which applied the brakes / for free wheeling. Not really sure what it did but quarter of a turn and shes a goodun.
