We have a CAT 950 H N1A21XX series has been standing for about 3 years in a customers yard , we bought the machine to put it back at work , the trouble is when the engine is cold in the morning it starts normal , once it is hot if you stop the engine it wouldn't start anymore . Anyone knows how to troubleshoot this problem ?

You would really need ET on it to see actuation current. Sounds like a top o-ring on an injector. Get it hot, then remove the rocker cover and have someone watch the injectors while someone else cranks the engine. If there is a large amount of oil coming from round an injector where it meets the head, pull the injector out and reseal it. Thats a start

Thank you for your reply , is there any procedure and calibration when pulling the injector out and put it back after resealing it , do we need ET for this operation ?

No just prise it out with care ( they can be broken during removal ) and when you are putting it back in, oil the rings and use the hold down bolts to pull the injector down. The seals are tight to get on but it can be easily done without the sleeve tool. There is a vent at the top of the injector, it is normal to see a small amount of oil coming from here during operation. If you have a seal gone there will be very clear.
