Machine serial number-2kr03683 Looking for the correct brake accumulator charge procedure for my 980G. The accumulators are both new from cat. Can they be charged off the machine or do they have to be installed? Does the oil on the nitrogen end have to be drained out or kept it. Thanks guys
See the attached procedure. I would suggest you charge the accumulators nstalled on the machine and use the part of the procedure titled "Charge procedure for a rebuilt brake accumulator", because that's effectively what a new accumulator is, having no oil in it.
Obviously you'll need to add the oil to the nitrogen side of the accumulators before installation seeing as they are installed on the machine with the gas charging valve at the bottom.
