Hello, This question has been in my mind for quite awhile and google has no good results, but what is the difference between 'C' and 'C2' I know that the Cat 289c has 84hp, and the C2 version only has 74hp, why is that? Any other information would be helpful. Thanks.
The C2 fuel pump was turned down to stay under one of the emissions levels, and the track on the ground was reduced by about 5" so the turning performance would not be affected by the HP reduction.
To stay under the 75hp emissions level. Didn't notice the HP change on our 262C versus 262C2 but we didn't use the power as much as a track machine would. Otherwise, they changed the emergency exit handles to red and that was about all I noticed. Controls were a bit more responsive, but that may have just been a newer update that couldve been done to the older machines as well.
