Cat CB24B intermittent no crank

In kind of a dumb luck situation I had test light poking around and I probed the key switch ground from inside and i hear the key on noises. Makes me thing the ground on that circuit is ******. No rhyme or reason sometimes ya key on and nothing. No noises, no screen, no crank, but the hazards and the horn work.
