Has anyone come up with a viable option to rebuild the Denso injectors out of cat D series skid steers with the 3.3 or 3.8 engine (Kubota V3307T/V3800T) ? I checked with the local injection pump shop and they stated the injectors are proprietary to the dealer/manufacturer so they cant get parts. Curious if anyone out there has found a shop willing and able to rebuild and properly test these even if its just repairing damaged or leaking tips? Application example: Cat 289D TAW03360 608-2959 Injector assembly 875$ each
AFAIK that is the case. The engine is built for Cat by Kubota and even Kubota dealers can't sell parts for them. I would be interested to hear opinions of others. Digressing somewhat, what fuel system maintenance are you doing.? The usual cause of injector problems on these engines is a lack of attention to fuel cleanliness. See this THREAD towards the end, an user seems to have a pretty sweet setup for putting clean fuel in his equipment.
I am interested in hearing about anyone out there who has sourced a company willing to service these injectors, weather it be on the solenoid end, or servicing faulty/damaged tips.
If nobody can get parts for them (see post above) outside the Cat dealer network then servicing will be impossible. JMHO - YMMV.
Have you heard of anyone trying kubata fuel injectors on a cat with same engine the 3.3.
I was offered 4 slightly used ones for free
Purchase Injectors from a Kubota engine dealer, they are identical. Fairly easy to cross reference using online Chinese injector sellers. Many more update part numbers than actually different injectors.
