The biggest machine you can comfortably maneuver on a jobsite is generally the best machine to use. Those are both good solid machines. The D7G can go for a ride on just about any lowbed without issue. The D8K is a much heavier machine and will take a stout trailer and more permits.

Yair . . . Brad902001. If your "root plow" is like our "blade plow" (a horizontal blade that's works beneath the surface) and forms a large part of the operation you should consider direct drive versions of either tractor as the powershifts tended to overheat even when new. Cheers.

Thanks for replying first off and That's what I figured they are both family operated so know they been taken care of any idea on the 8k fuel consumption is 100 gallons a day probably close

The 7G will be better on fuel and easier to haul. The 8K will last forever and is one of the best 8's ever made. It is also harder to move and burns more fuel. If you are going to put it on the farm and it never has to go anywhere buy the 8. If you are going into business where you are moving it every week, buy the 7G. Just my :my2c

G'day Brad902001, I'm blade plowing on our property at the moment with an 8k doing around 3-3/12 ac/hour chewing 55L/h. Like what skrub said your coolers, rad, belts and pulleys ect has to be top notch. The 7g would be alright, just take longer. Bill
