Hello everyone! The problem is on the M316D wheel excavator with the D6W prefix. Before starting the engine, the message "Press Middle key to enter BACKUP mode" appears. As I understand it, after pressing this button, the excavator operates in emergency mode. After starting, the display shows only one active fault code MCU 2974 -3. There is no description of this code for this machine in the SIS. The display is old and does not display extended information on the code. Maybe someone has information on troubleshooting this code for the M316D machine? And for what reason can the message "Press Middle key to enter BACKUP mode" appear???
Attached the troubleshooting procedure for 2974-3. Brake charge pressure sensor - voltage bove normal. I suggest you attend to that problem first and see if the display still shows the "Press Middle key to enter BACKUP mode" message once the issue has been corrected.
