Team, I had my CAT M317D2 malfunction on its system. Error appears “CAN Data Link Error”. Unit won’t start the engine. No data appears in the monitor. Does anyone encountered this type of error? Where Im suppose to start diagnosing this type of error. Thankyou Machine serial num: CH500277
Have you accessed the Service Mode of the Operator Monitor.? The active Diagnostic Codes will be listed there. A CAN Datalink fault will surely create a Code.
