Can you tell me what the lifting capacity is for this machine. I am trying to life trench boxes and road plates and I need to know the heaviest weight it will handle. Please advice... Thanks
What kind of trench boxes are you talking about? One would typically use a machine at least 10 times that size setting trench boxes. Nevertheless, the specs should be comparable to the current 305. See the bottom of page 18 in the linked brochure: http://xml.catmms.com/servlet/ImageServlet?imageId=C748938 A 305 can lift approximately 1-2 tonnes depending on how far away you are reaching. Be sure to leave some safety margin.
Size They are steel trench boxes 7.5x10 in size with 3' spreaders and adjusters - total weight for all of that is about 1875 pds.
The OMM states that it can lift 3197 from the front and 1874 from the side with the blade down with the bucket 9'8'' out and 2116 to the front and 1257 to the side with the bucket 13'1'' out also with the blade down. seems trench boxes would be pushing it a bit for my taste.
