Need some real world thoughts from some who have run both. Local Deere dealer has a 2018 Hitachi ZX350lc-6, 3350hrs they have agreed to trade even up for my 2019 Cat next Gen 336 with 5911 hrs. We bought cat at auction for good price, wondering if lesser hrs makes this worth pursuing. I have liked cat in past but our local dealer going through many changes seems to be going backwards with their customer service and their new and used equip prices are off the charts high compared to other brands for equal equipped machines. I can buy two cats at auction for what they want for one. Local Deere dealer has great service, just trying to get rid of orange since the jd hitachi split. I prefer the hitachi to the Deere due to the iszuzu engines. Don’t see a lot of hitachi, but never hear bad about em from those that have em. Cat 336 little easier to equip with gps due to included technology, but wondering how reliable all the bells and whistles will be long term. Any thoughts?
