Caterpillar 279D no hydraulic function

I have a cat 279D with no hydraulic function at all any ideas

    Failed coupling between the engine and pumps? Failed pilot solenoid coil? Question number one...Does the hydraulic fan spin when the engine is running? Question number two...What is the machine serial number? There are NINE different 279D variations.
