Always best when looking for tech advice to give a full serial number. Even if it's not something I'm familiar with for Cat I can most of the time find the answer on SIS with the S/N! Just an example of the problems trying to look up something without S/N, if I enter 320D into SIS it throws back 120 different Prefixes and no telling how many variations there are in each of those. Sure 90% of the 120 probably use the same engine so the information would be correct 90% of the time but do you want to chance that someone picks one of the right ones and not one of the wrong ones. This is not aimed only at you but anyone looking for information. If you have a stolen machine or are afraid someone is going to steal you identity just put "X's" in for the last two or three digits! That will at least narrow down the chance of getting the wrong information to a great extent.

I can't find any reference to a balancer timing mark. All I found was this.

OK, your machine is a grey import originally built for the Japanese (ISJ) market. The equivalent for parts & service information is a non-Japanese machine of either KGF or PHX-prefix. If you need a genuine Japanese Parts Manual (in English) for your DFB-prefix machine look for XEBP0044. Attached the procedure for finding TDC by removing the valve cover from the Service Manual. That's probably the safest way of guaranteeing that it's right. Note that the manual mentions nothing about there being three marks on the crankshaft pulley.

Thank you for the information . I also nee the procedure for bleeding the fuel system after fuel filter replacement. Can you help with that ?

It would appear as if you have electric priming pump. Change filters. Turn ignition on. Allow pump to run until it times out. Start machine.
