Hi fellas i have a 615 with axle suspension not working at all. Have had recharged just wondering could it be a pump problem.

Its 1983 if that helps any
a couple of questions and quick checks to start with with engine off is the cushion hitch lever hard to pull up and when let go ,returns to original position? with engine running does the cushion hitch lever stay in the raised position? this will indicate that the pump is supplying oil to the valve (rough check only) check that the levelling valve linkage is connected to the axle and that the clevis pin holes aren't flogged out if this is ok remove linkage from valve by removing clevis pin and operate by hand. it should lock in defined positions and not bind (the detent ball assembly is known to wear and jam up the level valve stem also the retainer bolt in the end of the stem comes loose Mark
Hi Mark thanks for the info. The lever with the engine running with it engaged stays in turn engine off the lever goes back 2 clicks. Some times when you start the engine it will engage its self. If that makes sense. Thanks Mark
Hi, how did you go with the cushion hitch. do you need more info? Mark
Hi Mark had a lot of rain here at moment. Waiting to get back to the machine to try and get it sorted. I appreciate the help will go through what you told me and get back to you. Thanks Mark
Hi Mark we presure tested the pump and put a flow meter on as well and have no pressure and no flow. Have a new pump on order hope that fixes the problem. Thanks Darren.
Gday Mark just wanted to let you know that the new pump fixed the problem. Thanks for your input and advice much appreciated. Hope to work with you on problems in future, it's good to have someone with knowledge on your side. Cheers Darren
