Amazing the things that you stumble upon. I was searching for an old story about a fellow by the name of Chicken Joe, who supposedly sold chickens, eggs and such to the logging companies around Homeymoon Bay, at Cowichan Lake. Short of the story is his relatives received royalties from WFI, for logs passing his property on the Gordon River road long after he passed, but he was a squatter and not entitled to receive any royalties.
