Cx210 dies when working hydraulics

I'm working on a 2005 model CX210.Unit bogs and will die when working. Pulled and cleared codes from display. Diag2 and Diag4 screens were full of codes. Cleared all codes and unit ran good for about an hour before starting to act up again. Now only has code 0368 VP44 fuel timing error and a 0123 boost sensor code in it. If I go on Diag1 screen and run unit it throws the 0368 code when it starts to bog down, if I let off lever engine comes back and code will reset on this screen. Unit also smokes and "hunts" or surges when starting cold. Pump has been replaced recently according to customer. Hate to condemn a pump without trying everything first. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What color is smoke? Have you checked the obvious things first? Air cleaner, etc? Injection events are calculated with boost feedback so if that sensor is hosed, you are going to get weird things. I would look close at the boost sensor first. It would be nice if you could see either the voltage or converted pressure in the diag screen. That is the end all for this issue. If boost voltage is erratic or not correct, the pump will hunt around trying to make everyone happy. I highly doubt you have a bad pump. A servo maybe, but a bad pump won't care if you clear codes. Your bog is just a limp mode. If you can clear codes and get things working, it is nothing more than that.

If the boost pressure sensor is your issue, just unplug it, and the computer will set a default parameter, you will only be slightly de-rated. Low lift pump pressure will cause the 0368 fault. Check your lift pump, or the screen in the lift pump. You need 10psi of pressure (even while engine is under load). Low lift pump pressure will cause early failure of the injection pump. What happens if you stall the bucket, stick or boom? (watch the engine rpm) If the issue persists, check your vp44 relay, check for water in the connectors, and your speed sensors.

the customer originally stated that they worked it on Friday and all was good. We had some heavy rain over the weekend and when they came back on Tuesday it was doing this The boost sensor code came up after the second or third time I ran it after clearing code The original codes were just the 0368 and a0611 hot shutdown errror. What do you mean by stall the bucket? It dies if you dont let off joy stick when it starts to bog. I will put pressure gauge on lift pump in next couple of days.

tried unplugging boost sensor and it seemed to work better so i replaced the boost sensor. Unit immediately started acting up, put pressure gauge at fuel filter and has 8.5 -9 PSI at filter. consistently. Is there specific tests for the VP44 Relay and speed sensors. any help is greatly appreciated.
