Recently purchased cat d6c , unably to get maintance records, so not sure of maintance. replacing all filters, found some debris on trans magnet strainer , operated machine for about 4 hours with no signs of trans issues or torque converter over heating. My question is, should Iuse delo 30w motor oil or should I use tdto oil. Not sure about detergent levels in these oils but I know on old transmissions that have not been serviced, when you replace old oil with new trans fluid , the clutches will turn loose from the bonded plates, speaking automotive type transmissions. Just dont want to put wrong fluid in trans , and have trans go out in 6 months, cost factor on oils seems to be close in price. thank you
Use a DTO 30 wt. oil or the Cat TDTO . Good luck Bob
