Direct injection or Precombustion chamber? Later Bob

what is the difference between the two but I suspect it is precombustion thanks

Direct is an injector about 1" in diameter about 2.5" tall. The Precombustion chamber is almost 2" in diameter and the line goes on the adapter. Where is it leaking? Later Bob

Picture or arraignment number/Serial numbers are always helpful. Also what is seeping? Fuel or coolant? At least some of the direct injection injectors have bleeder screws as I recall

They have screws to remove for testing so injectors don't lock up. Later Bob

Well i don't think it is coolant 2nd one from the back is the one.So it was getting on the manifold so i was smelling oil.Funny thing was i just put on new valve cover gasket took it out tried it out that is when i smelled it kind of had me thinking maybe it wasn't my valve cover, but then i never smelled anything before as i just finished a job anyway interesting it has the glow plugs in a holder beside the injector the injector screws into the holder.thanks

That's a precombustion chamber the glowplug is screwed into. Coolant can leak up around them. Look for an area that is washed clean to the metal and you have found the leak. Later Bob

Jook, the rubber bits that you see do nothing to combat fuel leaks, their use is to seal against dirt ingress, so its out with a spanner to check tighten the fuel line, if the lower hex nut was loose that holds the injector in place you would know it as the noise or the fire would soon raise your heartbeat. tctractors

thanks for all your info loosened the injector line retighted ran it for 8 hours seems good so not sure what would have caused it to get loose but seems all right now

Just an idea, do the fuel lines have at the proper clamps that tie them together? I could post a parts page that shows them if I had the complete S/N
