We just finished a doing repair work in the steering brake/ steering compartment ran it for a couple days and then changed the transmission oil. after changing the oil it took a while for the trans pump to prime and also loses its prime over night it is obviously sucking air but i haven't been able to determine from where . HEEEELP !!
There are a number of o.rings from the main suction line fitted to the trans all the way up to the bottom of the magnetic screen under your pump. They will all be hard and drawing in air all though won’t leak oil out. It’s very possible you’ve damaged the pump now also. They are cheap to replace from ITR
That’s a D8 trans,but it all starts at the bottom
If you had the top off the suction screen check that it got resealed properly.
