My air conditioning works when i first start using the cat. Run the cat for awhile turn temp down or turn fan on off then it wont work till you let machine cool down overnight.put new pump on last year worked fine last year pump was a jobber.
Thermal switch sticking, or maybe icing over?
Your talking about cut out switch on the pump.
Isn’t that usually at the condenser ? With a small copper pipe?

One way to tell is after running a while like this and you shut down, a big puddle of melt water comes out of the evaporator.
