Got a 1997 D6H when it turns cold outside my heater blower warning lights dash gauges don't work till machine warms up would it be a relay switch if so were are they located. Thanks
Hard to say if it is a relay but to be able to point to where the relay may be located would need a full S/N. Just took a quick look in SIS and under D6H they have over 30 different serial number prefixes listed and there could be variations in the wiring for many of them. To try to answer the question without that information could send you down the wrong path and waste both our time.
Starts with 5HF also just bought this dozer from retirement auction sale noticed the trans is over full can hydraulic oil get in there or they over filled it 2000 hrs on trans and torque reseal and rebearing done by cat dealer also new engine rebuild by cat.Had the bills for torue and trans. but not for engine but looks pretty new.So fingers crossed
Well the 5HF does narrow it down but.... Still two possible schematics one from 5HF0001->5499 and one from 5HF5500->UP As for transmission oil level are you checking it at low idle with oil at operating temperature? If you do not have an Operation and Maintenance Manual, that is the first thing you should be getting! Check in cab behind seat most Cat equipment have a compartment on the back of seat back with that book attached with a cable. If it's not there contact dealer with full S/N and get one coming. It will be the best money you spend. While talking to dealer see if they can set you up with an account on SIS tons of information available there, like parts books and such.
5HF05925 I do have those manuals for my other equipment but not for this one I didn't see one in the cab did price out one at cat 1300.00 so looking for used one they sure do come in handy thanks
That can't be right. I see the OMM for your D6H, part number SEBU6346 at $77 Australian.
Well if a wiring schematic will help check this out:
Probably a price for a full service manual.
