D6T blade lift issues

Aggie2005 ยท 2026-08-18 21:15

Good evening was operating d6t l s/n lay 00752 and blade quit lifting or tilting. Active codes are 1078.04 and 1079.04. Assuming either bad wire or blade implement handle has failed. Is the handle something I can plug and play with a new one or is there calibration involved?? Is there a way to test the handle are the sensors inside handle ? 0r do I need computer and tech to to do it ? Appreciate any help

Those two Codes relate to the signals from the X & Y-axis sensors of the blade control handle. Troubleshooting procedures attached. Basically disconnect the sensor and if the Code(s) disappear the sensor is the problem. If they do not disappear then there is a wiring fault. Hopefully it is a wiring fault as a new handle assembly might be a bit spendy. You will also need an electrical schematic. Check your messages.

If it comes to needing a new handle then ideally the position sensors will need to be calibrated.

Thanks for the assistance. It looks.like it is indeed the handle. Have new one coming and getting a tech to calibrate. Is that something cat ET could do. Is that an straightforward process. I don't want to.invest in ET and then not be able.to use it easily or male things worse on machine

ET is the easiest way to calibrate the position sensors. They can also be calibrated with a Click Box. See the attachment. if ET is going to be hooked up to the machine it might be an idea to calibrate everything else on the machine including the transmission after first successfully calibrating the blade control handle. Who knows when it was last done. If I can ask a favour, please can the tech use ET to download an Adobe pdf copy of the Product Status Report from the machine both before and after whatever he does then post it up. It might be a very useful reference for the future.
