While serving the air cleaner on my D7 17A 12k the lower cup and center contained oil. My 17a manuals show the screen type oil baths, but stamped on the lower tub "do not use oil " Is this a dry type cleaner? Has anyone had experience with this style that have the small tubes in it?
Early (non-turbo) units used the oil bath version, turbo units are dry with the tube section as you describe.
