Just bought a D8H 46a tractor today. I had one about 10 yrs ago and I can't remember but do they not have a grease fitting on each side near the sprocket to grease that big bearing on the axle shaft? I thought most older oval track dozes have them. Our D6D and D7F do.
No fitting, the outer bearing on an H is lubed thru the dead shaft with final drive oil pumped thru a passage in the shaft.
