Daewoo DH50 Starting Problem

I have a 1997 Daewoo DH50 excavator with a starting problem. Existing key turns to left for heaters plugs and then to right for what i believe to be ignition /auxilaires and then right again to start. Turning to right once appears to bring in a large relay at the front of the machine which completes the starter motor power cable circuit turning further right fails to operate the starter solenoid. Jumping the starter solenoid contacts operates the starter motor and cranks the engine. The cables on the starter motor solenoid are yellow and white about 2.5mm diam over the insulation. There are no similar coloured or sized cables connected to the ignition/starter switch. Does anyone know is there another device between the starter switch and the starter motor solenoid and if so what it is and where i might find it? Does anyone have similiar experience or can offer advice re a solution? A wiring daigram would be great help if anyone has one or can tell me where i might locate one.

I have one of those machines and the shop manual. If I can figure out how to scan in documents with my printer I can email it to you. My email is [email protected]

Hey fella's, I'm experiencing a very similar problem with a daewoo 300 lcv, won't start or stop with the key. There is power where it's needed but a break somewhere along the line when turned to the start position and won't shut off with the key. Any ideas??

We found that the Circuit Breaker also know as a fusible link was faulty and created a large volt drop when key put to start position preventing operation. Shorting out the circuit breaker resolved the problem. We recently located a wiring diagram from www.tradebit.com which has allowed identification of the circuit breaker and a new one is on order. Although wiring diagram shows an engine stop relay and motor fed from the ACC terminal of the ignition switch there is no device fitted to our DH50.
