Dash Lights

On a 199? FL80 the dash lights only work when the switch is on parklights.The dash light switch is new has any one run into this problem before?

    I ran into this problem once, it was quite some time ago but I believe it was the headlight switch itself. If I recall the switch came as a kit with an upgraded relay to wire in as well. I'll see if I can dig up any info.
