Deere 245G max rpm’s?

Tyler Cohrs · 2026-03-31 23:25

Got a 2015 245G machine. Have always thought it didn’t sound like the engine was running very fast at wide open throttle. Pulled it up the display today and it will run about 1800. Does that sound normal? Possibly a setting somewhere ?

Looks like it should run at 2000 RPM full throttle. Does it have an economy operating mode? Wondering if partial exhaust filter restriction could be related to the lower RPM's?

There is different modes. It's currently set on H/P mode. Does anyone know what the claw diagram mean in the upper left of pics? This machine does have a hydraulic thumb on it...

Hopefully someone with JD experience seems this. I just noticed the turtle on the monitor which would explain the lower RPM'S. Maybe there's a problem with the mode switch?

I think that just means its in low travel speed

Maybe but would need to confirm what the symbols on the monitor stand for. That's why it's always good to have the operating manual.

Please post the serial number of the machine. Year means nothing to us equipment guys. Normal. Check your messages.

If it has a mechanical Stanadyne inj pump, it’s stamped on the inj pump name plate.. Actually that number is the full load rpm.. simply add 10%.

This machine is installed with an Isuzu 4HK1X engine. The MAX speed of the engine is 1800rpm. Therefore, this is a normal condition.
