Have a JD 544a we use to launch and haul boats up a ramp. Recently, we have needed to goose the throttle to get the machine to back up the ramp with a load. When it catches it jerks, almost knowking the boat off the trailer. Backs up fine on level ground
Check transmission oil level?
probably has the 1000 (1200?) series allison tranny, sounds like the sprag clutch is slipping, or possibly the sprag cage is broken :drinkup
is it a easy fix
