Hello I am wanting to buy this JLG Boom lift Model E26MJ. Please check out the link below. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-heavy-equipment-machinery/winnipeg/jlg-boom-lift-e26mj/1385550865 It runs and works great but my question is can this unit be used indoors only or will it drive on grass or 1/4 inch river rock??? Also it drains the battery quickly can these batteries be serviced/refurbished or need to be replaced???? Please does anyone know???
You won't get very far with a lift like that outdoors. A rock driveway that has had heavy truck traffic would work, really flat grass yard if its been dry for a long time so its hard. There's probably no pivot on either axle, its just a rigid frame. 1/4" river rock (slate type) if its been packed in and driven on would be fine, if its been just laid in with a skid loader would probably mean getting stuck. The round river rock or loose- it will spin a tire in the loose rock and be stuck. It won't extend if its not level. Its really not meant to be a outdoor machine, but if you were just changing light bulbs in a packed rock, semi truck parking lot/ yard, it would probably work. Any kind of loose rock, wet grass, slope, mud- general construction type site conditions, would be a no-go. Batteries can be replaced.
