    "1973 977l" means nothing unfortunately. Got a Serial Number.? You really should get an O&M Manual. For a machine of that era they are proobably only about $30.

    I figured all those pedal steer power shifts would have the same trans oil drain plug maybe not

    Sorry missed the S/N in the thread title. My bad. Attached extracts from the O&M covering the filters/oils for the transmission and bevel compartments. If you look for an O&M the Publication Reference is SEBU5374. You can download one for $30 or get a paper copy for $35 from HERE , just put SEBU5374 in the box and click Search. The illustration below should pop up.
