Hi dear all! Can you please tell me the capacity (approximatively) of the engine oil tank of this following set of caterpillar machine? Dozer D8H, Grader 14H and 16H/16 M, and dozer D9T/D10T? I have the following values for the 16H/16M (7.9 Us gal –30 liters) and the following for the D9T/D10T (10 Us gal -38liters). Can you please confirm the accuracy of those values or give me the values you consider to be correct? Thanks a lot!
Alonzo, here's the information from the manuals regarding the engine lubrication system capacity of the list of machines you asked about. These quantities include the filters and are only a guideline - always fill to the dipstick. The quantity for the D9T & D10T cannot be the same because one has a 6-cylinder C18 engine and the other a 12-cylinder C27. D8H - 33 litres D9T - 38 litres D10T - 68 litres 16H - 38 litres (3406 engine - 6ZJ machine Serial number) 35 litres (3196 engine - ATS machine Serial Number) 16M - 30 litres
