Cat 242D3 serial cat0242dvhsx00655. Been getting this code recently. I flushed out the fuel lines and the fuel tank new fuel filter, and I put a new solenoid valve on as well. Verified 12 V by the fuel pump and the fuel solenoid valves. Unit will run for about 30 seconds and then die. It’ll fire right back up but 30 seconds is all you get.
Some times, upon start up if you toggle the rpm knob under the screen back and forth as fast as you can before the display actually fires up the unit will stay in high idle and will operate just fine for hrs until you lower the rpm’s and then the code will come back on and the unit will die after roughly 30 seconds. I’m thinking it mabye the injection pump because way less fuel comes out of it then what gets sent to it From the lift pump
Is the 1347-4 Code currently Active or not.? Does your fuel system have the inline plastic mesh screen built into the bottom of the electric fuel priming pump.? If it does have you at least removed and inspected/cleaned it.?
Does not no and yes, as soon as she started up, the code will come on right away
