Hi folks in the Heavy Equipment group, I’ve got a Volvo wheel excavator EW 160 B , with D6D EJE2 engine that’s giving me some trouble. Initially, the engine was running rough because air was getting into the fuel system. I tracked down a leak and fixed it by replacing the diesel filter seal, which seemed to stop the air ingress. But now, I’m seeing error code 140 SID 31 9 popping up, along with two ECU warning icons that have crosses on them (like fault symbols). The engine is still running rough, particularly in auto mode, even though the fuel system seems sealed now. Has anyone dealt with this error code on a Volvo excavator before? What does it typically indicate, and any tips on troubleshooting or fixing it? Could it be related to the recent filter work, or something else like wiring/ECU comms?
